On my wedding night my father gave me some good advice. He said “Don’t do the dishes after she has cooked a meal - maybe once or twice a year after dinner just jump up, get in the kitchen and scrub those pots and pans. She will be so pleased she’ll forget all the times you couldn’t be bothered.”
